Membership

We are a successful club of approximately forty members who come from a cross section of the community and love the challenge croquet offers both in Association Croquet and Golf Croquet.

The club uniform colours are green and gold. Members play socially, but if they want to they can also play in competitions against other South Australian clubs.

If you would like to join the club contact the President or Secretary. A yearly fee is paid once the application form is signed. People new to the game can book in to have ‘Come & Try’ sessions. Held regularly, we ask you to book in.

Types of Play

Association Croquet. The object of the game is to make both balls of your side pass through all hoops in order and then hit the peg before your opponent. The game is played as singles or doubles. A/C is played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Golf Croquet is won by a player hitting their ball through each hoop. Each player takes a turn at hitting a ball through the same hoop in the sequence of blue, red, black, yellow. Blue and black balls play against red and yellow. The player or team that wins the most hoops is declared the winner. GC is played on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.

Tactics play an important part in both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet
