A brief history.

The Tea Tree Gully Croquet Club officially came into existence on 23rd February, 1985, when at a public meeting held in the Hope Valley Community Centre (formerly the Hope Valley School) twenty-six prospective players attended, with apologies from fifteen who reaffirmed their intention to join the club.

Tea Tree Gully Council first allowed the club use of an area of land at Bentley Reserve, Holden Hill, for one full sized croquet lawn. Eventually Tea Tree Gully City Council granted the croquet club a site at the Ardtornish reserve at Hope Valley and by 1992, after many hiccoughs, the club was able to play on a permanent site.

Today we are a successful club of approximately forty members who play both Association and Golf Croquet.
Games are played socially and also in competitions against teams from other clubs which are affiliated with the SA Croquet Association.

We encourage and support the playing of both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet and welcome visitors and prospective members.

Situated in the most picturesque setting at Hope Valley on Grand Junction Road, (cnr. Barracks Road) Hope Valley, and has two courts which are also equipped for night play.

As a voluntary organization, our members are also encouraged to support the club by becoming involved in the running of it, i.e. in areas of administration and upkeep of grounds, etc.
